How Compression Works
This tool compresses your files to reduce their size while maintaining acceptable quality. The compression is done entirely in your browser using ImageMagick and Ghostscript.
Quality Setting
The quality setting controls how much compression is applied to images:
- High (80-100%): Best quality, larger file size
- Medium (50-79%): Balanced quality and file size
- Low (10-49%): Smaller file size, reduced quality
Density Setting
The density (DPI) setting controls the resolution:
- High (200-300 DPI): Best for printing, larger files
- Medium (150-199 DPI): Good for screen viewing
- Low (72-149 DPI): Smaller files, suitable for web use
File Handling
When you upload a single file, you'll receive a single compressed file. When you upload multiple files, they will be compressed and packaged in a ZIP file for download.
